Did you know that one in three American families struggles to provide diapers? Or that an inadequate diaper supply leads to both health and workforce issues?
In collaboration with the Yale Child Study Center and Yale School of Nursing, we are proud to be hosting a diaper drive to benefit The Diaper Bank. Minding the Baby® (MTB) is one of many programs partnered with the Diaper Bank, and we are very grateful to be able to assist in providing this basic need for our families. For more information about the importance of diapers and diaper need, please visit The Diaper Bank.
There are two ways to donate to the diaper drive, either by dropping diapers off at one of our two collection sites (Child Study Center or School of Nursing) between March 28th and April 8th, or by making an on-line donation through this “virtual diaper drive” — any amount is helpful and no amount is too small. Simply click on the link above to donate now.
Every package of diapers collected and every dollar raised through this drive will help bring the Diaper Bank closer to their goal of making diapers available to needy infants and toddlers in New Haven, Hartford, Bridgeport, and Middlesex County. A gift of $25 will allow the Diaper Bank to purchase an entire case of diapers.
For more information on where to drop diapers off, please e-mail Andrea at andrea.miller@yale.edu — and please note that while any size diaper is welcome and appreciated, there is a great need for diapers in sizes 5 and 6.
Thank you!
